I feel a bit cheeky but at the same time, quite delighted. I recently
bought a ship teapot in the colours of P&O and the day after I received
it, went out and had it valued. To my pleasant surprise the expert
I saw placed a value on it of £170...now how often can you buy something
that practically trebles in value the following day. When I asked on
what basis they could reach this conclusion I was told: It's
a beautifully created, handmade teapot, which means there will only
ever be a few of them. Added to that is the common sense fact, which says
that if it's reasonably rare already, then in the colours of a specific shipping
company will make it even more of a rarity and therefore much more collectable.
Well, it made me happy but I have to say; there's no point anyone trying
to buy it off me because I just love it so much...
Thanks Racing Teapots.
